By Oct. 2008, 12 thousands of LED tubes had been installed in 3 supper centers of Wal-mart in Beijing. Significant saving result in past 5 months encourages Wal-mart to expand the success to more stores. Another three super centers of Wal-mart and Trust-mart (acquired by Wal-mart) in Shenzhen and Chengdu will be installed LED lighting by end of April, 2009.
In Mar. 19 to 23th, HONEYWELL LONON and Wal-mart join expose at 2009 China International Energy Saving, Emissions Reduction and New Energy Science & Technology Expo in Beijing. All the lights in the 80sq.m booth are LED from Honeywell. Shinning LED lighting and its application in retail giant – Wal-mart caught eyes of large group of visitors.
